Bluetooth modules

Our own Bluetooth modules on Qualcomm platforms sit at the core of every product, with RF, power and size designed for the product they go into.

At the heart of every gigawit product is a Bluetooth module we design ourselves, built on Qualcomm platforms including Snapdragon Sound. We treat the module as the core component of the finished product. Designing it in-house means the radio, the firmware and the enclosure can be optimized together, and any problem can be traced down to the hardware.

RF design

Antenna placement and RF layout are designed together with the firmware’s connection strategy and with the product’s enclosure. A module that performs well on a test bench can still struggle inside a metal housing or close to the body; designing for the real product avoids that.

Power

Component selection and power scheduling are optimized together. Every milliamp saved in the module goes straight into battery life or a smaller battery.

Size

Modules are laid out to fit the industrial design, not the other way around. That is what makes compact products possible, such as a complete USB-C Auracast transmitter measuring 37 × 24.2 × 7.6 mm.

Certification

A module that is certified once can carry that work into every product built on it, so end products move through certification faster and with less risk.

Control over the core

Because the module is ours, its design, sourcing and firmware stay under one roof. Brands are not tied to a third-party module’s roadmap, and changes the product needs can be made at the hardware level.

What it means for the listener

Connections that hold up in real use, longer battery life, and products that can be smaller and lighter.
